100% Recycled Polyester (RPET) Interlock Jersey
RPET is yarn that is made from RECYCLED materials. It’s one of the most EARTH-FRIENDLY fabric INGREDIENTS in the world. Recycled yarn offsets the need to use new crude oil to produce virgin polyester. It has a 75% smaller carbon footprint than virgin polyester. It has a 37.5% smaller footprint than 50-50 RPET and Polyester. It diverts waste from landfill that includes soda bottles, fabric scraps and textile waste. In 2012, RPET fabric will keep over 900 million plastic bottles from landfills. In 2012 only 7% of the world’s plastic bottles will be recycled.
